A work of music theatre that melds original settings of the Schumanns’ letters and journals with iconic art songs of the mid-1800s to tell their story of hope, loss, true love, and determination in the face of adversity. The original cast list of 5 can be expanded to 7 to exclude double-casting, and the salon scene can open further (à la Act II Fledermaus) to include any number/combination of singers with Lieder of their choice.
