A newlywed nurse turns to her close-knit community for support when her husband is captured and imprisoned during the Battle of the Bulge in the final months of World War II. Described by BU Today as "genre-bending" and "suffused with ... irresistible energy," and by Oregon Artswatch as "An amazing run ... heartbreaking and heartwarming," The Eleanors fuses a lyrical operatic score with 40s-inspired musical influences from swing and American Songbook. Commissioned by Savannah VOICE Festival and premiered at the National Opera Association National Convention in Savannah in January 2025.
